Digitalization and global value chain participation: firm-level evidence from Indian manufacturing

We analyze the role of digital infrastructure in shaping global value chain (GVC) participation Indian manufacturing firms. To examine digitalization and GVC nexus, a rich, firm-level, unbalanced panel 4875 firms from past two decades is used to detail rising significance context then empirically relationship between GVCs. Employing logit model, we observe positive significant association on firms’ participation. Further, subsample results highlight that promotes integration small low-technology industries into GVC. Moreover, findings our analysis are robust alternate measures
